Serenity Series
(2017 - 2021)

In Serenity drawing series, the level of fine details and depth in each drawing aims to capture the unique beauty of nature in surrealistic forms and demonstrating my emotional journey going through phases of settling down into a new country, the USA. In the beginning, I was inspired by water element especially, ocean, the movement of each wave was expressed as the movement of emotions and sea stacks represented as obstacles that would never seem to be taken down. As I was settled in the USA, my inspiration shifted to air element, tornado, represented the destructive side of it that arises in emotions. The last two drawings exhibited my curiosity toward new chapter of my life journey, inspired by the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. I aimed to present the irresistible force of curiosity acknowledging the possibility of uncertainty.
